Our earlier prototypes had weight pods, but they proved far too much trouble considering the different camera weights and diver preferences. Most divers simply throw a soft weight bag or use stick on wheel weights to adjust buoancy. 

 

Story:  During a dive this summer I threw the Shellicam to a diver.  He missed and unfortunately the housing had a bit too much weight in it.  The housing and my new video camera immediately sank to over 100 feet.  I was trying for neutral buoyancy and did my weight testing in the bath tub.  I added a small amount of extra weight to compensate for the ocean's specific gravity.  Moral of the story...  positive buoyancy is preferred.
